MISSION REFRESH

Mission refresh sets out refreshed sustainability commitments and targets for the future.

The company has now launched Mission Refresh – a focused set of flagship sustainability commitments and measurable targets that will guide its actions in the years ahead.

These flagship commitments are long-term, ambitious and will help the company focus on where it can create the most positive impact.

While our refreshed commitments define the overall direction, a set of measurable targets drives progress.

Targets cover all seven pillars of the company’s sustainability strategy:

Accelerate our transition to low carbon operations by:

  • Achieving 100% renewable electricity in the EU and Switzerland by 2035.
  • Reaching 50% renewable energy across our operations by 2035.
  • Screening more than 95% of significant suppliers in areas including sustainability and business relevance.1

Aim to reduce our environmental footprint and support a circular economy by:

  • Reaching 80% collection of our packaging by 2035.
  • Increasing rPET to 40% by 2035.
  • Removing 12,000 metric tonnes of plastic packaging by 2030 (compared with the 2024 baseline).

Protect and restore this essential resource by:

  • Maintaining 100% of wastewater treated and returned to nature.
  • Reducing our Water Use Ratio by 5% by 2035 (compared with the 2025 baseline).

Strengthen sustainable sourcing by:

  • Ensuring 100% of our key agricultural ingredients are sustainably sourced by 2030.2

Support consumer choice by:

  • Ensuring low- and no-sugar sparkling soft drinks grow faster than full sugar variants between 2025 and 2030.

Invest in people and inclusive growth by:

  • Training more than three million young people by 2035 through #YouthEmpowered (since 2017).
  • Achieving 45–50% women in management roles.
  • Targeting zero on-site fatalities.

Protect nature and reduce our impact by:

  • Achieving 100% compliance with the EU Deforestation Regulation.3
  • Reducing food waste and loss by 40% by 2030 (compared with the 2019 baseline).

MISSION 2025

Our Sustainability Mission 2025 was built on six key pillars of sustainable development. It was developed based on our strategic priorities and values, and aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

By the end of 2025, we met or made significant progress on the majority of our Mission 2025 sustainability commitments.

Climate change is one of the most serious and complex challenges faced by the world; research shows that climate change poses the greatest threat to the environment.  

OUR MISSION SUSTAINABILITY 2025 GOALS:

  • Reduce direct carbon emissions ratio by 30% by 2017.
  • Less emissions in customer outlets – 50% of our refrigerators in customer outlets will be energy efficient.
  • 50% of total energy used in our plants will be from renewable and clean sources.
  • 100% of the total electricity used in our plants in the EU will be from renewable and clean sources.

Water is the basic ingredient of our products; it is the focus of our production process and is essential to grow the agricultural products we use.

OUR MISSION SUSTAINABILITY 2025 GOALS:

  • Reduce water use in plants located in water risk areas by 20%.
  • Help secure water availability for all our communities in water risk areas.

We don't want to just produce beverages. We want to make real change.

OUR MISSION SUSTAINABILITY 2025 GOALS:

  • 100% of our consumer packaging will be recyclable;
  • Source 35% of the total PET we use from recycled PET and/or PET from renewable material;
  • Help collect the equivalent of 75% of our primary packaging.

Sustainable sourcing of raw materials greatly influences our economic, environmental and social impact. That’s why our suppliers’ behaviour directly affects our sustainability performance and our commitments.

  • Source 100% of key agricultural ingredients in line with sustainable agricultural principles.

As a company, we consistently lower the sugar and calorie content in our products, creating a portfolio of products which address our customers’ needs. MISSION 2025

  • Reduce the calories per 100mL of sparkling soft drinks by 25%.

Making a positive socio-economic impact everywhere we operate is a goal inherent in our every action.

OUR MISSION SUSTAINABILITY 2025 GOALS:

  • Train 1 million young people entering the labour market in 28 countries, thanks to our #YouthEmpowered programme.
  • 50% of manager positions will be held by women.
  • Target zero fatalities and reduce accident rate by 50%.

In our activities, we follow the sustainability principles and guidelines based on:

  • United Nations Sustainable Development Goals: goals 6 and 12,
  • Greenhouse Gas Protocol,
  • European Water Stewardship (EWS),
  • Calorie Reduction Pledge,
  • EU Pledge (responsible marketing),
  • Letter of intent to optimise the energy value and composition of food products in Poland (via the signatory, i.e. the Polish Federation of Food Industry Employers Association).
