Coca-Cola HBC Latvia once again recognized as Family-Friendly Workplace

The Society Integration Foundation has once again awarded Coca-Cola HBC Latvia the Family-Friendly Workplace status, recognizing the company’s significant contribution to promoting employee well-being and creating an inclusive, supportive work environment.

This recognition is granted not only for meeting legal and regulatory requirements but also for implementing additional initiatives that promote work-life balance, openness, employee satisfaction, and loyalty.

The following best practices at Coca-Cola HBC Latvia were especially praised by experts:

  • Additional paid leave for family needs, helping employees plan their personal responsibilities more flexibly and maintain a healthier work-life balance.
  • Support for engaging employees' children, such as organizing gifts and events that promote a family-friendly workplace culture and enhance motivation.
  • A structured mentorship program for employees returning from leave, facilitating smoother reintegration and reducing adjustment challenges.
  • Well-being initiatives, such as the “20 Minutes for Your Eyes” campaign, which helps reduce digital fatigue and promotes healthier work habits over the long term.

These are just a few of the many examples that define Coca-Cola HBC Latvia as a family-friendly and modern employer. In addition to these initiatives, the company offers flexible work arrangements, including adaptable schedules, remote work (including from abroad), hybrid work models, shorter Fridays, and the opportunity to work from other Coca-Cola HBC offices across BU. This approach fosters trust and respects employees’ individual needs. According to the latest employee survey conducted in 2025, 99% of employees in Latvia are proud to be a part of our organization and 85% would recommend it as a great place to work.

“We are committed to putting people at the center of everything we do and provide the best possible work environment. In Latvia, we place a strong emphasis on diversity, development opportunities, and employee well-being”, says Corporate Affairs and Sustainability Manager in Coca-Cola HBC Latvia, Paula Šimkuse.

Coca-Cola HBC Latvia also cares for employees beyond their daily work by providing financial support during key life events, such as childbirth, start of the school year, marriage, and loss of a loved one.

These support mechanisms strengthen employees' sense of belonging and reflect the company’s long-term commitment to being there for its people not only at work, but also in life.
