Everything is then mixed and enriched with notes of exotic roots and spices. It is distilled in two alembics: Angela (since 1890) and Jenny (since 1994) and constitutes a unique combination of tradition and modernity. It owes its sophistication to the unique selection of ingredients – 10 different herbs. All this makes Bickens a perfect ingredient of refined drinks.

Frangelico Liqueur

Frangelico is an Italian nut liqueur made in Piemont, Northern Italy. Its history dates back to the 17th century and is inseparably connected with monk settlements in the region. Legend has it that a monk named Frangelico would create unique alcoholic “compositions”. The Frangelico liqueur is made using local hazelnuts, abundant in the area.

Grand Marnier Liqueur

Grand Marnier is the fruit of a dream which came to Louis-Alexandre Marnier Lapostolle, the heir of a family distillery from Neauphle-le-Château near Paris. He dreamed of creating a truly “grand” liqueur, worthy of the tables of the upper echelon of the French bourgeoisie. To do that, Marnier selected the native spirit – cognac, and wild oranges from the Caribbean Islands. His work, created in 1827, was initially given a modest and a rather matter-of-fact name – Curaçao Marnier, but César Ritz, the founder of the famous Ritz Hotel and a friend of the distiller, suggested changing the name – “A grand name for a grand liqueur!”. 1892 brought first bottles with a characteristic shape, resembling an alembic (simple distiller). Grand Marnier became one of the favourite drinks of the belle époque, served in prestigious hotels and other venues.
